RMS in Action at:
The University of Tokyo Japan
Description: Cyber Forest Research Project, Chichibu City Japan.
The Cyber Forest Research Project distributes live video and audio from two sites located
at the University of Tokyo Forest in Chichibu City, Japan. Due to the lack of power and
communication infrastructure at the sites, the project uses solar panels and deep-cycle
batteries to power the site. The internet connection is provided by satellite. To maximize
the charge and stream performance, five RMS-200 control the entire
system to accomplish 10 hours of live streaming everyday, in addition to automatic
archiving. The system consists of meteorological sensor, video archiving, audio streaming,
weather proof digital camera, PC and the satellite Internet devices.
